Disgrace of National Flag
14th august is a day of celebration for people of Pakistan and Pakistanis all over the world. On 14th August when sun rises honour is given by firing 21 cannons. Flags are waved on every roof, building, shops, vehicles and every corner of the country. Children decorate their homes with small paper flags and celebrate independence day. The day is celebrated with happiness and excitement.
But the condemnable fact is that after these celebrations people become busy in their work. Alas the people don’t care about glory and respect of the national flag and dont lower flags before sunset.

At the end of day the paper flags are scattered in roofs, streets and foot paths and people step on them carelessly. In rain they become wet and when people walk on such flags they tear apart. Its a pathetic thing. It is inviting us to think that how much we are worthy of freedom? All these things are synonymous to dishonour the glory of our flag. Even in places like Supreme Court, President house, parliament house and all government places remain erected on roof tops. Even our politicians and government dont care about glory of our flag. What else we can say it except misfortune?
In other countries people remove their hats when they see their flags. Dishonour of flag gives pain. It is necessary to teach about the honour of national flag in early classes. Printing of flag in colours other than original colours should also be discouraged. Every one should ask oneself, do we respect our country??
