Ever seen YouTube Down ?

Well I just have been on YouTube to watch some videos, got this message. YouTube is down for maintenance and will be back shortly. Most of us may never had seen this before in their life. Its around ten minutes since i am refreshing but still YouTube i s offline. Screen shot posted for reference.
Don’t know what kind of maintenance they are doing as they didn’t mention it but this seems to be very strange as small upgrades don’t make huge sites to go down. Main page of youtube is still working but whenever you try to open any video you land on YouTube’s whoops page.

Note that this is not a region based downtime as we often see other big sites as MiniNova, down for upgradation in one region while working fine in others.
Personal resources told that YouTube is down too in USA.
