Skype For Symbian – Beta Release

Skype releases its client for symbian handsets. This app is in beta version and available for around 17 handsets at the moment. Currently app is available for symbian platform but as stated in blog post, Skype is planning to launch its client for other handsets as well.

Skype for Symbian works over Wifi or 3G data connection and requires atleast 6MB of space for install.

Skype for Symbian supports following features:

  • Free Skype-to-Skype calling
  • Call phones with Skype credits or subscription
  • Receive calls on your Online Number
  • Instant Messaging
  • Group conversations
  • File sending and receiving
