Scandal surfaces in IT and Telecom Ministry
In a report, SAMAA TV has disclosed that The I.T and Tecom Ministry has given the tender of billions of rupees to the Chinese company without takking care of the proper rules and regulations. The ministry of I.T and Telecom has started its work on the project f national security communication and social administration information system.
According to the document got by SAMAA, the project is estimated to Rs 13 billion and the project has been started with te collaboration of the National telecommunication commission and Chinese company Z.T.E. The project is focussed to connect the police stations, intelligence agencies and various government departments with each other, sources added. The project to be started with billions of rupees will be initiated and the loan would be taken from China for this project.
Many Chinese companies were interested in the project but the project was not advertised and the National Telecommunication Commission and Ministry of I.T and Telecommunication gave this project to it favourable company without following the proper rules and regulations. The Ministry of I.T and Telecom has also got the approval of the project from the Prime Minister of Pakistan and now it has sent the summary of the project to Central Development Working Party for approval. The PC 1 of the project is in the process and soon it will be approved, sources added.
