PTCL CSR’s Go on Strike Against Payroll at The Mall, Lahore
PTCL CSR’s call on strike, today at Mall Road, Lahore in front of Punjab Assembly Building. Strikers included mostly females who are CSR’s at PTCL EVO, Broadband, 1217 helpline. Sole purpose of strike was against the payroll, as they claim that they have not been paid for two months.
Talking to protestants, they told us that PTCL has not paid them since two months and dues are on hold. Plus all CSR are at same designation since three years as they are waiting to be promoted. He proclaimed that even after a lot of experience they are at the same rank where the new comers join.
In the picture from left to right, Muhammad Afzal and H. M. Zikriya who actually are students at Punjab University talked to us regarding the issue. Muhammad Afzal told that he has been working as CSR at PTCL broadband helpline since three years and is on same pay as of initial i.e. Rs. 9000. Plus he also told that instead of giving increments, there are many a cases where PTCL has decreased the pay to Rs. 7000.
H. M. Zikriya said that some of the CSR were at 11000 pay which has also been decreased. Plus he added that pays are not up to the mark as inflation is on its way and in comparison to three years old rates, present pays are not enough to cope up the dearness.
