Facebook Finally Opens on PTCL Broadband
After the order of unbanning facebook in Pakistan, ISP got working, lifting the ban as per PTA orders. PTCL seemed to be least interested in lifting the ban at once, but now it is confirmed that facebook has also been unbanned on PTCL and majority of other ISP’s in country.
As soon as the LHC directed PTA to lift the ban on facebook, ISP’s started working, as we got news from different sources regarding the facebook working fine on different ISP’s including LinkDotNet and Wateen.
PTCL seemed to be more reluctant in lifting the ban as it’s been two days after the order and the victim was still behind the bars. But now it has finally been confirmed that facebook is also unbanned on PTCL broadband.
Important to note is, majority of the internet users in Pakistan are subscribers of PTCL Broadband because of its availability in far flung areas and in those exchanges where other broadband ISP’s haven’t reached yet.

Maryam it seems like they are still fixing. Well, working fine here, may be you would be able to open after a while.

facebook opens but we are not able to delete even our chat iz also not apening and and when we try to open it gives error on page wat do!!!!!!

i am using PTCL broadband since last three years,my pakage is 1 MB,but never get speed like 1MB and once you got some problem then no body will listen you even you visit their office and they took min. 15 to 25 days to resolve it after bundle of your complaint,3rd class customer service they have,they just write down your complaint but did not take any action,you have to wait 2/3 weeks for rectification
Well, i do not agree with you Razzaq, after the privatization, specially PTCL DSl support is really upto the mark as per my experience, may be you had a bad one.
zardari news about shoe attack was on tv..owners of the companys got warnings if they aired such material about our presedent then there licences would be revoked
but a few months back facebook disrespected our profet mohammed pbuh and the ban which i wouldnt really call a ban more like a publicity stunt was quickly called off and swept under the carpet
now do you see the problem in pakistan and how our leaders dont care about islam or pakistan they just love the american dollars
we the public and islamic brotrhers need to unite asap and build our country up to what it was made for
sorry Amna i have bad experince not a single time,it has twice in last two month last time they rectified after 25 days and now i have registered many complaint since 16th july even i have met to DE phones but still no action,my phone is dead for last two weeks but nobody care so in my opinion privatization did not make any change it became nore worst
