Warid Looting its PostPaid Customers?
I happen to be one of those victims who got caught by Warid – yes the poor postpaid customers who use GPRS Infinity package. Warid though gives some handsome call packages on its postpaid tarrif but seems like they compensate it from somewhere else. But here Warid imposes a strange and silly condition that you cannot have any SMS package if you are on GPRS Unlimited package.
I have subscribed for Warid Infinity GPRS package which gives 2GB data transfer in Rs. 500 with this my package gives men only 250 SMS per month. Since i wanted to go for another SMS bundle and called Warid helpline.
I got shocked to hear that i can only have one of the two. Either i can have GPRS Infinity Package or i can go for any SMS Bundle.
And when asked, why is it so? The answer was: These are just rules sir!
Now let’s have a look at Warid’s SMS Bundle for postpaid customers – known as Zoom SMS Offer:

750 SMS in Rs. 90+tax which comes out be almost 118 rupees and 7500 SMS in Rs. 210 plus tax, while comparing to others, Ufone gives 10,000 SMS in Rs. 150 and no such conditions like Warid!

Warid should atleast take back these silly conditions not to have GPRS Infinity and SMS Bundle package at a time and a bit decrement in their SMS package since 750 SMS in Rs. 118 is not acceptable at all!!

you found this out pretty late. I had same issue back in early 2009. the reason is basically MMS (free ones) and GPRS unlimited, their system restricts them to have 2 simultaneous rules thus one setting could be set for you … (and I maybe wrong)
I am postpaid member of warid since long but now i also feel to switch over to some other network because of their overbilling and availability of good packages on prepaid.
